What does it mean to inspect a product using tomography?
The typical assembly conditions of products made by fitting together various parts were historically studied using transparent models, typically in Plexiglas. These let you “see” the fit tolerances within the component itself.
CT Technology has totally revolutionised this approach: today it’s possible to make a real component transparent, by using tomography to digitise it, and then navigate within it using the most advanced virtual navigation software tools.

This allows us to follow the flow of a lubricating fluid, simulate the path of a particle inside the component, check if couplings have been made as foreseen by the designer. There are no limits to a designer’s imagination when they see their product completely transparent for the first time.
